Something big is about to make a splash near Ottawa! A massive indoor water park with endless aquatic attractions and tropical island vibes is set to open a road trip from the city.

Mōrea Water Park, a world-class facility by Investissement Ray Junior, will open in the heart of Cité Mirabel, Quebec, just under two hours from Ottawa.

According to a press release, the park is a "complete immersion into an exotic world where the spirit of the French Polynesian islands blends with Quebec innovation."

It's the "largest water park ever built in Quebec," featuring more than 20 incredible water attractions, including a water roller coaster, a lazy river, and a surf area.

You can spend your days splashing through waves, floating along the river, racing down waterslides and imagining you're on vacation in the tropics.

The park's architecture will whisk you away to a warm island and is inspired by French Polynesian landscapes, traditional huts, and lush foliage.

In addition to aquatic adventures, the park will offer outdoor shops, modern restaurants, a fast-food area, beauty and spa services, and more.

The destination will also include two hotels, a 1,500-seat performance hall, a convention center with breathtaking sunset views and rooftop reception halls for large events and weddings.

"Mōrea is a dream come true. This project is particularly close to my heart, inspired by the beauty of the islands and my own travels," Mr. Courtemanche, founder of Investissement Ray Junior, said in a press release.

"I wanted to create a place where young and old alike could share unforgettable moments together, a place where joy, family, and nature meet to offer endless happiness."

Don't grab your goggles just yet—construction on the facility is set to begin in summer 2026. The water park and the first hotel are expected to open within two years of the start of construction.
