This massive water park opening near Ottawa is like a mini Disney and here's what to know
You don't need to fly to Orlando for theme park fun.

If you're looking for a taste of that Disney World experience closer to home, this upcoming Canadian water park might just be your wish come true. With a variety of attractions, themed experiences and resort-style amenities, the park offers endless fun and magic.
Mōrea Parc Aquatique is a world-class facility by Investissement Ray Junior, slated to open in the heart of Cité Mirabel, Quebec, just under two hours from Ottawa.
According to a press release, it's the "largest water park ever built in Quebec" and will be among the largest indoor water parks in the country.
But it's not just the size that makes it special — it's the immersive, tropical vibes inspired by French Polynesia, the sprawling resort-style location, and the kind of themed attractions you'd expect at a destination park that give this spot its novelty.
It will boast more than 20 thrilling water attractions, including a water roller coaster, a lazy river, and a surf area.
There's more than just a waterpark, however. Mōrea will include a convention center, two hotels, a theatre, a spa and wellness center, restaurants, boutiques, and more.

Mōrea has even been dubbed "Quebec's own Disney" by CBC, and with its immersive themes, hotels, eateries and other attractions, it's easy to see why — it's designed to feel like a magical world of its own.
The park has its own mascot as well — a beachy blue turtle named Mo, ready to become Quebec's answer to Mickey Mouse.
As the water park is located indoors, you'll be able to enjoy this attraction year-round, just like Disney World.
Construction on the facility is set to begin in summer 2026, with the waterpark and the first hotel slated to open in 2028, so don't grab your swimsuit just yet.
If you've ever dreamed of a Disney-style resort in Canada, this upcoming attraction might just be the closest thing yet.
