It was also issued around the same time as the one on Friday was.

That had people on Twitter wondering if the child is safe and if the notification is new or the same one from the day before and was sent out accidentally.

As of 3:40 p.m. ET on December 19, Ottawa police have not confirmed if the alert is real or was mistakingly sent out but the OPP has tweeted that there are technical difficulties with the Amber Alert system.

When the first alert was issued on Friday, Ottawa police later tweeted that the child had been found safe and there was a suspect in custody.

Someone called 911 to complain about the alert just minutes after it went out on Friday because their TV time was disrupted.
