A daring performance went underway on September 19, after Washington firefighters rescued a horse who was found stuck in a deep, muddy ditch. 

Snohomish County Fire District 19 took to Facebook to share the shocking ordeal, which saw a 10-year-old horse named Ole almost completely submerged in mud.

Firefighters, Snohomish County Sheriff Officers, and neighbors worked together to save him, off of Frank Waters Road, according to the post. 

It took about three hours to remove the steed from the mud and another two hours to clean everyone up. 

Ole is reportedly doing well and recovering thanks to the swift efforts of everyone who helped!
