These Statistics Canada jobs for the census pay between $57,000 and $79,000.
With the various admin positions, you will:
- assist management in day-to-day operations by providing administrative support
- plan meetings, training sessions and conference calls and organize logistics
- generate reports and prepare charts, graphs and other documentation
- review and respond to internal inquiries and facilitate communication between partners
- liaise with the Travel Clerk to coordinate employee travel and submit expense claims
- process, maintain information on, and follow up on administrative requests
As a Field Operations Supervisor, you will:
- participate in the planning, organizing and supervision of census field operations
- train and supervise a team of supervisors
- coordinate the activities of supervisors and their employees
- participate in the monitoring, analysis and evaluation of field operations by reviewing activity reports
- authorize employees' weekly payment, expenses and allowances
- monitor performance and productivity of staff and resolve collection, staff and pay issues
- promote respondent participation in the census and participate in the implementation of communication strategies
- respond to inquiries coming from the public
- work with other census employees to resolve collection, processing, and pay issues
- work with the Recruitment Clerk and Field Operations Manager to meet targets
As a Recruitment Clerk, you will:
- promote census employment opportunities by posting promotional material
- communicate with candidates by phone to assess their job applications
- perform data entry and record maintenance of recruitment files
- coordinate with colleagues to organize schedules and conduct candidate interviews
- create pools of qualified candidates and escalate any recruitment challenges
- respond to written and telephone inquiries regarding recruitment activities
- conduct second language testing for staff
