"When the machine is suddenly gone you are left, a lonely little cog missing all the other little cogs who soon will slot into new machines," she added.
She joked that, aside from the metaphors, she simply missed filming the show despite the gruelling schedule.
"I miss the show for all its ups and downs and long days (nights) and bruises and laughing fits and hourlong conversations," she said.
To mark the occasion, Ramsey said she wanted to share "some random non-spoilery fully legal pictures," which included some of Alberta's stunning mountains, horses and even a shot of Calgary, where a lot of scenes for the HBO show were filmed.
The show also stars Ramsey's Game of Thrones co-star Pedro Pascal and Euphoria's Storm Reid.
Alberta has been buzzing with film crews over the last few years with massive productions including The Last Of Us and Under The Banner Of Heaven all using the province as a backdrop.
But even before the filming boom, production on a ton of iconic movies took place in Alberta and there are probably quite a few that you didn't even realize were filmed right outside your doorstep.
Next time you're road tripping in Alberta, make sure to look out for the filming locations of some of these famous movies.
The Revenant
The Revenant might be best known as the movie that finally won Leonardo DiCaprio an Oscar, but it was also filmed in Kananaskis Country, Canmore and Drumheller, according to IMDb.
The movie, which is set in 1823 Montana and South Dakota in the U.S., also used Fortress Mountain as the backdrop for an impressive avalanche scene.
Brokeback Mountain
While it's set in Wyoming, Alberta was the backdrop for the 2005 love story starring Jake Gyllenhaal and the late Heath Ledger. It was largely filmed in Kananaskis Country, but cities like Calgary, Fort Macleod and Lacombe were also featured as well as the small towns of Seebe, Cowley, Crossfield and Irricana.
Game Of Thrones
You'll probably be surprised to know that before The Last Of Us filming was spotted across the province, Game Of Thrones also used Alberta for some of its filming.
While it's less obvious what locations were used, a wolf called Quigley from Instinct Animals for Film – an Alberta-based company – was hired to play John Snow's dire wolf Ghost.
Jumanji: The Next Level
As well as Hawaii, Georgia and California, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and his co-stars headed to Alberta to shoot part of the latest Jumanji movie. Scenes mainly took place on the snowy peaks of Fortress Mountain.
Inception
Filming for Inception took its cast all over the world, including Paris, London and California, as well as Alberta. In a Twitter post, one of the film's stars, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, showed where the movie's famous snow fortress was filmed, and it was actually Fortress Ski Resort.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife
The latest in the Ghostbusters series – starring Paul Rudd and Finn Wolfhard – was filmed all over the province from the Turner Valley, Calgary, Beiseker, Fort McLeod, Dorothy and Drumheller. If you take a road trip in southern Alberta, you'll be able to hit a lot of the filming spots.
Cool Runnings
This iconic 90s hit uses Calgary as a backdrop for a lot of its filming, which makes sense as it's based on the true story that led the first Jamaican bobsled team to compete in the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary.
You'll be able to spot YYC International Airport and WinSport throughout.
Let Him Go
This 2020 western film was largely filmed in Fort McLeod as well as Didsbury and Drumheller, according to Sceen-It. The movie's star, Kevin Costner, is also set to return to Calgary this year as the parade marshal for the Calgary Stampede.
Interstellar
Alberta might be an unlikely location for a film set in space, but it was actually the location for quite a few scenes in the movie starring Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway. The baseball game in the film ended with a sandstorm that took place at the Seaman Stadium in Okotoks. Scenes were also filmed at a farm in Longview, according to Sceen-It.
Fargo
According to IMDb, filming for the adaptation of the popular Coen Brothers film, Fargo, took place all over Calgary. The Calgary Public Library became the FBI Headquarters in the series.
Filming for its fourth season moved to Chicago, but it is reportedly heading back to Alberta for its fifth, according to Production Weekly.
Legends Of The Fall
Hollywood A-Listers Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins also found themselves in Canada in the 90s to film Legends Of The Fall. Filming took place in Alberta, at locations including Calgary, Morley and Ghost River — where World War I trenches scenes took place, according to IMDb.
Alberta just got a major shoutout on one of the world's biggest talk shows when actors Pedro Pascal and Daisy Edgar-Jones shared their favourite things to do in the province.
In the latest episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden, Pascal and Edgar-Jones opened up about their time filming in Alberta for their respective series The Last Of Us and Under The Banner Of Heaven.
Edgar-Jones was in the city last year filming the series which also stars The Amazing Spider-Man's Andrew Garfield, while Pascal has been spotted filming scenes for the big-budget HBO series in downtown Calgary. Filming for The Last Of Us is set to end in June 2022.
From roasting Banff to visiting their favourite Calgary restaurant, the pair talked about some of the best things to do in Alberta with Corden.
Despite the name getting an epic roasting, Edgar-Jones was quick to recommend visiting Banff to Corden. "It's the most beautiful place, but then it's called Banff," she joked. "You've got to go to Banff," Pascal added.
As soon as the guests realized they'd both been filming in Calgary, Edgar-Jones was quick to ask Pascal if he'd been to the iconic Calgary restaurant Model Milk. "It's the place," she said. With a menu including hot fried chicken and BBQ wagyu brisket, our mouths are watering just thinking about it.
Pascal told Corden about the first time he saw the Northern Lights while filming The Last Of Us in Alberta. "We were driving from Calgary to Edmonton to go and shoot... I was a passenger in a car and I was like 'what is that?'" Pascal said. "It was full Spielberg. One of the most unbelievable things I've ever seen."
When talking about things to do in Banff, Pascal recommended taking a dog sledding trip. It's definitely a unique way to see the province's stunning frozen lakes and forests. "I don't want to sled on a dog. It feels cruel to me," Corden joked.
Lake Louise also got a shoutout from the pair. When Corden asked about the best spot to visit in Alberta, Pascal recommended visiting its most famous lake. With its beautiful turquoise waters and panoramic mountain views, we can see why Pascal was keen to go.

Alberta has seen a boom in filming for movies and TV shows over the last couple of years and 2022 is no exception.
There are loads of shows using the province as a backdrop and we can't wait to point out all the places we know. For some, you won't have to wait that long, either.
Under The Banner Of Heaven, a new TV show starring the Amazing Spider-Man himself, Andrew Garfield, is set to air in April. The series was filmed in Calgary, Strathmore, Didsbury, and Carstairs.
The first season of the hotly-anticipated HBO show is currently filming all over Alberta, including downtown Calgary, Canmore and Edmonton. Huge parts of the province have been transformed into post-apocalyptic locations. The show, which is based on the hit video game The Last Of Us, stars Game Of Thrones and The Mandalorian's Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey.
Based on the memoir of the same name, High School will be about the teenage years of Calgary musical duo Tegan and Sara. It was recently announced that U.S. TikTok duo and twins Railey and Seazynn Gilliland had been cast as the teenage Tegan and Sara, and How I Met Your Mother's Cobie Smulders would also star in the series.
Filming for My Life With The Walter Boys is set to begin in Calgary in April. The series is being produced by Netflix and is based on the coming-of-age novel by Ali Novak. The series follows Jackie who is forced to move to rural Colorado to live with her guardians and 12 rowdy children after a tragic accident kills her parents. No casting announcements have been made so far.
Cold Road follows an Indigenous woman as she drives to her remote First Nation community on a journey to visit her mother before she passes away. It's written and directed by Kelvin Redvers and filming is expected to take place in Wood Buffalo National Park and northern Alberta.
Filming for Dream Wedding is due to take place in Calgary and its surrounding areas. According to IMDb, the film will star Rebecca Dalton, Jesse Hutch and Amy Matysio.
Key To Love is also set to film in Calgary. While no casting information is available, IMDb outlined the plot: "A bookstore owner starts an antagonistic relationship with a book cover model until an antique key found in a false book unlocks their romance."
It seems like filming is happening non-stop in Alberta at the moment. Joining the likes of HBO's The Last Of Us, a brand-new Netflix show is set to be filming in Calgary over the next few months.
The series, My Life With Walter Boys, is based on the best-selling coming-of-age novel by Ali Novak. The story follows Jackie, a New Yorker, who is forced to move to rural Colorado to live with her guardians and 12 rowdy children after a tragic accident kills her parents.
According to Variety, the show has been given 10 episodes, each of which will be around 50 minutes long.
Filming is set to take place in Calgary and its surrounding areas and while the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists (ACTRA) hasn't listed a date for shooting to start, a casting call for the project has pinned it as around March 21.
