There are so many things to do in Brampton throughout the spring season and quite a few are free!
You can wander through the farmers' market, go hiking, spend a day at a museum, saddle up for horseback riding, go strawberry picking and more.

Shop the Brampton Farmers' Market

Why You Need To Go: This year, the Brampton Farmers' Market is happening from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays starting June 15.
You can make your way down Main Street South and browse the booths along the way and then take a spin around the offerings in Ken Whillans Square.
Brampton's Farmers' Market features fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, and more food items along with products from local businesses and creators.

Why You Need To Go: There are so many murals and art installations in downtown Brampton, including:
- Photo-Cubist Brampton People & Flowers at 86 Main St. N.
- Beaux-Arts Walk, a compilation of seven artworks, down a laneway at 70 Main St. N.
- Cycling Through Time, a compilation of five artworks to complement Beaux-Arts Walk, at 60 Main St. N.
- Urban Bouquet, inspired by Brampton’s Flower City nickname, at 2 Diplock Ln.
- Embrace the Journey (Move with Love) at 14 Nelson St. W.
Since these public artworks are so close to each other, you could do a mini mural tour around downtown and check out Brampton's art scene.

You can spend a day this spring exploring the Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives which features many art exhibits, historical artifacts, archival material, and more.
Plus, part of the museum is in the old Peel County Courthouse and Jail that opened back in 1867!

Explore all of Chinguacousy Park

Why You Need To Go: If you live in Brampton, you've probably been to Chinguacousy Park at least once.
But this spring you might consider taking a day to explore the entire park.
Chinguacousy Park has tennis courts, beach volleyball courts, a greenhouse, tropical gardens, a "mini-moo" farm, playgrounds, a carousel, paddle boats, and more.
There are even spots to have a picnic so pack some food before you leave the house and dine al fresco at the park!

Heart Lake Conservation Park

Why You Need To Go: Heart Lake Conservation Park has a little bit of everything.
There's swimming, treetop trekking, fishing, kayaking, row boats, picnics, hiking trails, a medicine wheel garden, and more.
So, you can do a lot at this Brampton park throughout the spring season.

Stop and smell the roses at Charles F. Watson Family Gardens

Why You Need To Go: If you want a break and are looking for something relaxing to do in Brampton, you can stop and smell the roses — or any flowers — at the Charles F. Watson Family Gardens.
Brampton is known as Flower City after all!
Located in Kiwanis Memorial Park, you can wander through these gardens that are "an oasis of colour" along the Etobicoke Creek Trail.

Saddle up for horseback riding at Claireville Ranch

Why You Need To Go: Claireville Conservation Area is in Brampton but also close to Mississauga, Toronto and Vaughan.
It features a natural landscape of wetlands, valleys, forests, grasslands, and the Humber River.
If you're looking for something different than hiking, you can go horseback riding through acres of natural forest land at Claireville Conservation Area.
Claireville Ranch offers horseback riding whether you're a first-timer or an experienced rider.

Play a round at the Turnberry Golf Club

Why You Need To Go: Brampton's Turnberry Golf Club was designed to emulate the classic courses in Scotland and Ireland with rolling hills, thick vegetation, and strategic bunker and water placement.
There's also a restaurant at the club if you want to dine after your game.

Go strawberry picking at Big R' Apple Farm

Why You Need To Go: You might not know it from the name but Big R' Apple Farm in Brampton offers strawberry picking starting in the spring and through the summer.
That means you can wander through the farm's strawberry fields and pick baskets of red berries!
Need more convincing? @alenedegian on Instagram said that the "perfect little strawberry" she picked at the farm brought her so much joy.
Big R' Apple Farm is cash only so come prepared with bills and coins rather than debit or credit cards.
