Get those wine glasses ready! The Niagara Grape & Wine Festival is happening next month, and you can even join in the fun from your own backyard. Wine not sip the day away at this event for vino lovers?

If you're looking for another reason to pour yourself a glass, then this festival has you covered.

The Niagara Wine & Grape Festival is an annual event during the harvest season, and it's returning next month with some updated programming.

With events taking place from the end of August through September, there are all sorts of ways to celebrate the season by sipping from your favourite bottles.

The Discovery Pass allows you to explore 20 different wineries while social distancing.

The pass is valid on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, from September 11 to 27.

It costs $49 plus tax and includes 8 wine and food pairings from participating wineries.

There is also a driver's pass with non-alcoholic options available for $39 plus tax.

On August 30, you can take the festival to your own home with the RBC Brunch In Your Backyard event.

Indulge in specially prepared brunch baskets for two, which will feature VQA sparkling wine, gourmet brunch items, and ingredients so you can put your cooking skills to work.

There will be a chef-led Zoom cooking class for you to follow along with.

The baskets are available for pickup on August 29, and cost $75 plus tax.

This year, the festival is offering virtual winery tours with the pass as well, so you can explore venues from the comfort of your home.

If you're looking for more spots to enjoy a drink or two, these Ontario wineries are always fun date ideas for you and your friends.

Niagara also offers lots of other things to do and see once you're finished sipping.
