Just a few days after photos of her in costume leaked online.

The new title and release date for The Marvels — aka Captain Marvel 2 — just dropped, and there's a big Ontario connection.

Markham actress Iman Vellani will feature in the new superhero film, which means that she'll make her Marvel debut on November 11, 2022.

Marvel announced Vellani had been cast as Ms. Marvel back in 2020, giving her her own TV show — Ms. Marvel, a Disney+ series — scheduled to premiere in late 2021.

Set pictures of her in costume recently leaked online showing the Markham teenager looking just as fly as any superhero we've seen.

Vellani isn't the only Ontarian who's getting a big Marvel release in the next few months — Simu Liu, formerly of Kim's Convenience, is starring in Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings set to drop in September 2020.
