The CN Tower Is Shutting Down To Help Prevent Further Spread Of COVID-19
If you were planning on visiting one of Toronto's most famous attractions in the fall, you might want to reschedule, because the CN Tower is officially suspending operations starting on October 3.
The decision was made in order to prevent further spread of COVID-19 and flatten the curve, says an October 2 statement on the official CN Tower Twitter account.
The organization offered its apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

The statement further indicates that the iconic tower will remain closed to the public until health authorities and Canada Lands Company say it is safe to reopen.
Toronto has been dealing with rising cases for the last few weeks, prompting city officials to take action.
New rules and restrictions were recently placed on restaurants, limiting capacity to 75 and requiring businesses to keep a log of all customers.
However, Dr. Eileen de Villa, Toronto's medical officer of health, has said she thinks the city should suspend indoor dining entirely.
New provincial measures were also announced today by Premier Doug Ford, including an Ontario-wide indoor mask mandate.
