The City of Toronto has just announced that it's had to close two community centres after health authorities discovered a COVID-19 case in a CampTO participant. The announcement was made in a release by the City on Wednesday, August 12.

Both the Barbara Frum Community Centre, which hosted the infected camper, and the Glen Long Community centres will be temporarily closed as a result. The camper was sent home last week with symptoms and has been self-isolating since.

The city's remaining 118 CampTO locations will remain open.

The COVID-19 guidelines currently in place for CampTO include an enhanced ratio of staff to campers and reduced group sizes, use of masks indoors, physical distancing, mandatory health screening, and enhanced facility cleaning.
