One Ontario gym is closing its doors after a COVID-19 outbreak in Hamilton.

A SPINCO studio in the GTHA reported on Sunday that several customers and staff tested positive for the disease during a week-long outbreak.

The fitness club stated in an Instagram post that everyone who tested positive is "doing well."

"It started September 28 and spread amongst specific classes until October 5th," wrote the gym.

The Toronto Star reported that at least 51 people were infected with COVID-19 due to the outbreak, as of Monday.

Public Health officials warn that as many as 100 SPINCO riders could've been exposed to the disease.

SPINCO Hamilton remains closed at the moment.

However, its owners have stated that they plan to reopen once it is deemed safe.

According to the Star, this could be one of the largest outbreaks at a gym across Canada.
