Dan Levy Got A Job After His Family Kicked Him Out Of A Moving Car In Front Of A Gap Kids

Growing up with a famous dad didn't make Dan Levy's teenage years glamorous.

The Schitt's Creek star remembers a time when his family wanted him to get a job so bad that they kicked him out of a moving vehicle in front of a Gap Kids. 

The then 15-year-old Dan Levy said he was told not to come home without a job application, WealthSimple reports.

I was kicked out of a moving vehicle at 15, after a bar mitzvah, in front of a Gap Kids and told not to come home until I’d gotten a job application.

The 37-year-old said that this is how he was raised and that he's had a job ever since that day. 

"That’s how my family operates. I’ve been working ever since," he said. 

However, he said that it was his mom, Deborah Divine, that taught him the value of money, and that she's good with finances.

"She’s the one who imparted the financial wisdom," he recalls.

"It resonated with me from a young age. I’ve always saved, and I’ve always worked."

The Levys made it a point to have their kids grow up having "normal childhoods" and decided to raise them in Toronto
