There are few things as stressful as a missing child. TSN host Dan O'Toole seemed to find that out over a single night. He shared the harrowing journey of not knowing where his youngest child was on social media.

It started with a July 2 Instagram post, which included a black and white photo of O'Toole's infant daughter, Oakland.

"My baby Oakland. I’m praying that whoever has you, is holding you. That whoever has taken you from me, is protecting you, That whoever has you, let's you come back into my arms," O'Toole wrote in the caption.

"I love you Oakland. I can’t wait to one day hold you again. My heart is broken. I am broken. To be clear, Oakland is alive, we think. But we don’t know. I have a one month old child, and I don’t know where she is."

He later updated the post to say that his ex-wife, Corrie, had nothing to do with the situation and that people should leave her alone.

At 10:30 p.m., Global reporter Travis Dhanraj tweeted that he had confirmed with the Durham Police that O'Toole's baby was with her mother and was safe.

This prompted a response from O'Toole, who wrote "Hey Travis. First off, this is not a Durham police matter. Secondly, should the police maybe call me first once my child has been found?"

Both the Instagram post and tweet have since been deleted by Dan O'Toole, however, several users shared screenshots of the posts on social media.*

Shortly after 12:30 a.m., O'Toole updated his Instagram post to say that Oakland had been located.

"UPDATE: My baby Oakland has been confirmed to be safe. I have still not seen her or held her," O'Toole wrote. "To those that decided to bash me during this ordeal, tell me this: have you ever looked in the eyes of your kids, and not been able to tell them where their sister is or when they will see her again? We are still broken. We may never be fixed again."

Shortly after 1AM ET, Durham Regional Police also tweeted about the incident.

"We have looked into the social media post of a local resident/sports broadcaster regarding an alleged abduction of his baby daughter. Although this was not reported to us, we can confirm the baby has been/continues to be safe with her biological mother in the Peterborough area," they said.*

O'Toole co-hosts SC with Jay and Dan along with his on-air partner, Jay Onrait.
