The new season finally premiered on Wednesday night!

On Wednesday, The Handmaid's Tale season four premiered in Canada with the first two episodes of the 10-episode season.
In this season, protagonist June Osborne (played by Elisabeth Moss) navigates the world of Gilead as the leader of a rebellion with terrifying new challenges. And if you live in Ontario, you may notice that some of the landmarks in the show look strangely familiar.

From the Scottish Rite in Hamilton to the Fork York National Historic Site in Toronto, Southern Ontario has once again been transformed into The Handmaid's Tale's nightmarish setting in season four.
The Scottish Rite, located in Hamilton, Ontario, was used as a filming location for the Gilead Chamber Council, the show's production team confirmed to Narcity in an email. The Scottish Rite is a popular filming location that has been featured in Murdoch Mysteries and Resident Evil.
This adorable Halton Hills farmhouse was used as the set for the Keyes' farmhouse, which appears within the first three episodes of the new season.
The stately Langdon Hall in Cambridge stood in as the Gilead brothel, Jezebel's, which is where rebellious handmaids are sent as an alternative punishment to the colonies.
Would it be an Ontario-based production without using the Fort York National Historic Site? The Handmaid's Tale uses this location as the backdrop of its Detention Centre in season four as well as in previous seasons, along with many other film and TV productions throughout the years.
Last but not least, it looks like the cast and crew also took over the Dundas Valley Conservation Area. A Twitter user noticed their presence in early March, before filming wrapped.
