A North Grenville business meeting didn't go as planned after Canadian icon Michael Bublé ended up crashing their call.

The singer reportedly zoom-bombed a virtual gathering between Mayor Peckford, Deputy Mayor McManaman and other leaders to make a cheeky request.

Bublé, who joined two minutes into the call, jokingly suggested that the town should replace its water supply with Bubly, a sparkling water he has endorsed in the past.

However, it seems that the township wasn't buying Bublé's latest sale pitch. "Of course, I told Mr. Bublé that we are very proud of our high-quality municipal water and we have absolutely no plans to replace it with sparkling water. Our water in North Grenville is some of the best in Eastern Ontario," Peckford said in a press release.

According to CTV, the quick cameo was actually part of a new SodaStream campaign.
