An Ontario driver crashed their car into a mattress store in the GTA but sustained no injuries thanks to the fluffy bedding inside, police say.

On the afternoon of Friday, August 6, Peel Police tweeted that a collision had taken place in the area of Dundas Street West and Glen Erin Drive in Mississauga. Thankfully, police wrote, the accident had happened at a particularly soft retail store.

"It just appeared to be an accident, there's no criminality behind the accident itself," a spokesperson for Peel Regional Police told Narcity over the phone. "No charges are going to be laid."

"Nobody [was] inside the store there, and [...] there was just one person inside the vehicle," they continued.

When asked if all of the soft bedding inside the store really prevented any injuries from occurring, the spokesperson confirmed — after a moment of laughter — that it truly had.

Since there were no injuries, according to police, hopefully, all parties involved will be able to sleep easily tonight.
