Attention thrill-seekers! You can spend the night chasing ghosts and breaking out of a spooky jail cell this Halloween at a historic Ontario escape room.

Located just over one hour from Toronto in Cobourg, Ont., the King George Inn says it's the only escape room in Canada where you can stay and play in a real haunted jail.

This October 31, the inn will hold a special event.

It includes the escape room, overnight accommodations in one of the jail cells, an on-site ghost hunt, a four-course meal, and a jail-themed souvenir for $150 a person.

This rate is based on at least double occupancy, but there are also triples and quads for your entire ghost-busting bubble.

There are other packages available that don’t include an overnight stay and those will cost between $40 and $60 per person.

According to the inn’s website, the Cobourg jail was one of the biggest of its time, holding up to 100 prisoners.

Today, it operates as a unique hotel that you can spend the night at any time of the year, but with Halloween just around the corner, this might be the best time to plan your visit.

To book your escape room and ghost-hunting adventure, simply fill out the request form on the event’s website.

This event is subject to change based on COVID-19 updates.
