"Frost may damage some crops in frost-prone areas. Patchy frost is likely this morning across portions of northeastern and central Ontario."

"Mostly cloudy skies this morning should allow ground temperatures to fall to near or below the freezing mark," a statement from Environment Canada reads.

While parts of cottage country are facing an early winter, The Weather Network reports that it won't be nearly as chilly for the rest of Ontario.

The southern part of the province will see temperatures float into the high teens on Friday.

Temperatures will shoot into the mid-20s in the GTA early next week with the humidex making it feel more like 30 C.

This will be your last-ditch chance to enjoy the fleeting summer heat.

Pumpkin spice latte lovers rejoice! According to TWN meteorologist Dr. Doug Gillham, "gorgeous early fall weather" is coming next week, bringing sunshine and slightly cooler temperatures.

"A warming trend is expected mid and late next week, with above seasonal temperatures expected for the end of the week and possibly into next weekend," Gillham said.

However, this weekend won't be full of sunshine, with showers expected to hit the province throughout Saturday night and into Sunday.

Facing chilly winds is something Ontarians have probably gotten used to this week.

The province was hit by its coldest weather since spring on Tuesday.
