It looks like Ontario's December forecast is going to make this holiday season even more magical. 

The Weather Network has revealed that Ontario has a "higher than normal" chance of a picturesque white Christmas this year. 

So, keep your fingers crossed and your dreams full of sugar plum fairies.

A more active pattern also looks to set up again by mid-month, with a "higher than normal chance for a white Christmas. Dr. Doug Gillham, Weather Network meteorologist

According to TWN, as we head into the middle of this month temperatures are going to become even colder. 

On top of that, an "active pattern" will give the province a pretty good chance to see some flakes this holiday season. 

The announcement comes as the province braces itself for even more snow today. 

Parts of southern Ontario could receive up to 10 centimetres of the white stuff.

Drivers are being warned of a potentially difficult afternoon commute, so make sure you've got snow tires if you're driving.
