On Tuesday night, Raptors rookie Terence Davis was reportedly arrested for assaulting a woman in New York City.

Pix11 reports that the woman is his girlfriend, according to the New York Police Department.

Reporter Josh Lewenberg says the team is aware of what happened and is obtaining more details.

The incident took place at the Beekman Tower highrise in Manhattan, reports the New York Post.

Davis allegedly slapped his girlfriend across the face before grabbing and breaking her phone.

The victim is in sound condition and did not require hospitalization.

Davis was arrested and has been charged with assault.

Earlier this year, Davis drew backlash after arriving to the court wearing a hole cut into his mask and posting COVID-19 conspiracy theories on his Instagram story, NBC reports.
