It's hard to believe but Canada Day is right around the corner — 2025 is flying by! To celebrate, the City of Toronto is lighting up the skies with fireworks displays happening all across the 6ix.

This year, Canada Day lands on Tuesday, July 1. As a federal and statutory holiday in Ontario, it's the perfect excuse to soak up some summer vibes.

Beyond the fireworks, Toronto will be buzzing with events, festivals, and family-friendly fun taking place all over the city. So, there's no shortage of ways to celebrate.

Seven fireworks displays are happening across Toronto this year, lighting up the night in every corner of the city. Whether you're downtown or in the suburbs, chances are there's a show nearby.

There will be events at Amesbury Park in North York, Ashbridges Bay Park at The Beaches, Centennial Park in Etobicoke, the Harbourfront Centre, Mel Lastman Square in North York, Milliken Park in Scarborough and Stan Wadlow Park in East York.

Here's when you can catch them and all the other must-know details.

Amesbury Park

Amesbury Park in North York will be hosting a free Canada Day fireworks display that's sure to impress. The show kicks off at 10 p.m. and will light up the sky for about 15 minutes of colourful fun.

However, the celebration doesn't stop there — festivities will be taking place in the park all day long, making it a great spot to spend July 1 with family or friends.

You'll find Amesbury Park at 151 Culford Rd. in North York.

Ashbridges Bay Park

Ashbridges Bay Park is back with another epic Canada Day fireworks show, and it's got big shoes to fill after its jaw-dropping Victoria Day display earlier this year.

Located on Toronto's east side, this spot draws massive crowds — especially around Woodbine Beach — so you'll want to arrive early to snag a good viewing spot.

The free fireworks display will kick off at 10 p.m. sharp and will light up the sky for 15 thrilling minutes.

Vehicle access is limited, so the City recommends taking public transit to avoid the traffic headache.

You'll find Ashbridges Bay Park at 1561 Lake Shore Blvd. E. in Toronto.

Centennial Park

Centennial Park in Etobicoke is wrapping up a jam-packed Canada Day with a free fireworks finale you won't want to miss.

It's also the final day of Toronto Ribfest, which is expected to attract over 100,000 visitors across the four-day event — so show up early if you want a good spot!

The fireworks show starts at 10 p.m. and runs until 10:15 p.m., closing out the night with a bang.

The City advises that some viewing areas may be restricted due to ongoing construction, so plan accordingly.

You'll find Centennial Park at 256 Centennial Park Rd. in Etobicoke.

Harbourfront Centre

Harbourfront Centre is hosting an all-day Canada Day celebration by the lake, packed with good vibes and local flair.

You can expect live music, performances, and an outdoor marketplace featuring 100% Canadian-made goods — perfect for soaking up the summer sun while supporting homegrown talent.

It's all about community pride, great tunes, and waterfront views this July 1 — and attending is free.

Festivities kick off at noon and will feature live outdoor concerts from Digging Roots, Kellylee Evans, and more.

To top it all off, a fireworks show will light up the sky at 10:45 p.m., wrapping up the night in true celebratory style. The show will last until 11 p.m.

You'll find all the action at 235 Queens Quay W., right along the waterfront.

Mel Lastman Square

Starting at noon, Mel Lastman Square in North York will be the place to be for Canada Day fun, with a full day of music, entertainment, food, and fireworks to keep the celebration going strong.

Kids will have a blast in the free kids zone, featuring jumping castles, inflatable rides, face painting, and crafts — all happening until 8 p.m.

Local food vendors will be serving up tasty bites until 9:30 p.m.

The night caps off with a spectacular fireworks show at 10 p.m., lighting up the sky for 15 minutes of dazzling colour.

Find all the action at Mel Lastman Square, 5100 Yonge St., in North York.

Milliken Park

Get ready, Scarborough! Milliken Park will light up the night sky with a Canada Day fireworks show, starting at 10 p.m. and concluding 15 minutes later.

If you're nearby, this is your chance to catch some bright, colourful bursts to celebrate July 1. It's free, too!

You'll find Milliken Park at 5555 Steeles Ave. E., Scarborough.

Stan Wadlow Park

You can wrap up your Canada Day celebrations with a free fireworks show at Stan Wadlow Park — the perfect way to enjoy the night sky with friends and family.

The park will also be buzzing all day with family-friendly activities to keep everyone entertained before the big finale.

The show will go on from 10 p.m. to 10:15 p.m.

Stan Wadlow Park is at 888 Cosburn Ave., East York.

Wherever way you choose to celebrate Canada Day — stay safe and enjoy it!
