If you need proof that your dreams could turn into reality, look no further than Kurtis Gabriel.

The Toronto Maple Leafs signed a bunch of new players to the team yesterday and Gabriel, their new forward, has apparently been wishing for this moment ever since he was a kid growing up in the GTA.

"Can't put it into words. But can tell you I'm bringing everything I got, and then some more," Gabriel tweeted. With his tweet, the new Leafs player shared a couple of childhood photos to his followers, which showed him wearing the team's iconic blue jersey and Leafs baseball cap.

Gabriel will be living out his childhood fantasy for at least a year, after signing a one-year, $750,000 contract. The Newmarket, Ontario, native played the last season with the San Jose Sharks, and has previously been part of the New Jersey Devils and the Minnesota Wild.

In addition to Gabriel, the Leafs signed several new players including Petr Mrázek, who will serve as the team's goalie for the next three years.
