Hospitals had a reason to celebrate this week. On August 12, Toronto's University Health Network announced that its multiple hospitals had zero COVID-19 patients.

These locations include the Toronto General and Toronto Western and The Michener Institute of Education.

Thanks to the amazing Team @UHN today we celebrate NO ADMITTED COVID-19 patients!

According to the institution's website, both the ICU and inpatient units are currently empty.

"While we know this is by no means an end to our care for future covid patients we celebrate the hard work of TeamUHN and Canadians who MASK. HAND WASH. PHYSICAL DISTANCE. ISOLATE," wrote Dr. Kevin Smith, the CEO of UHN.

According to CBC News, this is the first time in months that the UHN has reported no new COVID-19 patients.
