U Of T Was Ranked One Of The Best Schools In The World & Beat Ryerson By A Long Shot

Queens and Western didn't do too hot either.

Contributing Writer

The great debate of which Ontario university is the best has been settled in a recent ranking, and some schools didn't do too hot.

According to the Center for World University Rankings, the University of Toronto has now ranked as the 24th best school in the world, a remarkable achievement that places the post-secondary institute as the number one school in Canada.

However, its Toronto neighbour, Ryerson University, didn't come close to ranking that high. In fact, it placed 829th on the list. Meanwhile, York came in 427th place.

As if that wasn't harsh enough, the list also ranks Western and Queen's University pretty low with the former coming in at 183rd and the latter at 315th.

Laurentian University was one of the worst-ranked schools in Ontario, coming in at 1,617th place on the worldwide list.
