U Of T Is The Only Canadian Spot To Rank In The Top 25 Universities Worldwide

Toronto is still representing Canadian education.

Contributing Writer

Canada has no shortage of notable post-secondary schools, but only one has managed to be ranked one of the top 25 universities in the world.

ShanghaiRanking's Academic Ranking of World Universities placed the University of Toronto as the 22nd best school in the world, bumping it up a single slot from last year's list.

The only three other Canadian universities to crack the top 100 included the University of British Columbia, 42, McGill University, 67, and McMaster University at 92.

Schools that beat out the University of Toronto included Harvard University, Stanford University and the University of Cambridge, who came in the top three spots.

U of T had previously been voted the best university in Ontario back in May of 2021.
