An injured woman is being medically examined after she was reportedly abducted by a 34-year-old man on Monday evening.

UPDATE: Police announced on Tuesday morning that an arrest has been made in connection to the abduction.

EARLIER: The woman abducted in Scarborough was in the Empringham Drive and Sewells Road area when she was forced into a vehicle by the suspect at 5:41 p.m., reports CP24.

The suspect, who has been identified as Santhoskumar Selvarajah, remains at large. 

Police have released his photo, a description of his clothing at the time, his car make and model, as well as his license plate.

He is considered violent and dangerous. He's wanted for various charges, including kidnapping.
