If you're looking for something to do around Toronto this weekend, you can take a little drive to Lake Simcoe and watch a fashion show.

This weekend, on August 21and 22, there will be an open-to-the-public fashion show run by Friday Harbour Resort and the Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards (CAFA). The show will highlight some of Canada's emerging designers and will take place right on the pier, which offers gorgeous views.

There's also going to be a pop-up marketplace where you can shop and support the brands directly.

Fashion shows will take place at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m and will feature collections from brands like House of Hayla, NARCES, NOIZE, Bikini Haus and other emerging brands. The pop-up market will run from noon to 8 p.m.

You can make it an entire day trip, or even a weekend getaway, and check out Friday Harbour's other amenities, like the waterfront Beach Club restaurant, nature preserve, golf course, marina and shops.
