The Panhandle is home to many strange and spectacular sights for you to discover. Silver Glen Springs in Florida has a swirling natural spring and countless giant manatees beneath the surface. Explore this gorgeous spot this summer, and be transported to another planet.

Silver Glen Springs Recreation Area charges visitors just $6 to visit this stunning landscape. Canoe rentals are $16 for two hours and $38 for the entire day. You can paddle through this one-of-a-kind spring and feel like you've left Earth entirely.

Hop in a canoe or relax on a pool float and explore this strange universe in the Panhandle. You'll float over the polka-dotted spring floor and see hundreds of striped bass flitting by. If the timing is right, you could even see manatees grazing on seagrass while you explore.

Some of the most unbelievable natural features of Silver Glen Springs are the striped bass beds. The unusual nests from these silvery Florida fish form giant "polka dots" on the bottom of the spring. You won't believe your eyes when you see these otherwordly blue spots.

This spring has a "natural vortex" of swirling schools of striped bass. The bass glimmer in the sunlight and form a swirling, sparkling whirlpool that's unlike anything you've seen before. You can swim past these friendly fish in this breathtaking underwater world

Cute manatees float beneath the surface at Silver Glen Springs as well. Because the water is so clear, you may be lucky enough to spot sea cows as they swim lazily below the waves. If you see any on your visit, remember to observe these gentle giants passively.

This ultra-unique spring is a must-see for adventurers. You'll feel like you've been transported to another world as you swim through these turquoise waters past jaw-dropping marine life and natural features.
