This dreamy seaside spa in B.C. is a toasty escape during the chilly winter months, with its steamy mineral pools overlooking the water. Nestled on the shore of Vancouver Island this idyllic spa recently ranked among the best in North America.

Boathouse Spa at Oak Bay Beach Hotel makes for the perfect getaway, with a hotel and restaurant on site so you can spend the whole weekend cozied up.

Spas of America revealed its list of America's Top 100 Spas of 2024, which highlighted rejuvenating destinations across North America. Google data was used to create the ranking, taking into account ratings and consumer preferences.

Among the top 100 was Boathouse Spa in Victoria, just an hour and a half on BC Ferries away from Vancouver. It's a luxurious escape that gives you scenic views and leaves you feeling pampered.

The spa is at Oak Bay Beach Hotel, a boutique stay nestled along the Salish Sea. The breathtaking views of the surrounding nature make this feel like a remote getaway, although it's just outside of the city.

The hotel itself has a lavish elegance that's balanced out with an old-school charm.

Hotel guests have access to the spa, with their signature mineral pools, and room prices range from $270 to $500+ depending on when you go.

There are also dining options right at the hotel, so you don't have to venture far on your getaway. There are three separate options for food here — FARO Handcrafted Pizza and Tasting Room, the Dining Room, and The Snug Pub.

At the hotel spa, you can take your pick of facials, massages, and body treatments. In the warmer weather, you can even enjoy a massage in the Seaside Gazebo, winding down to the sound of the waves crashing along the shore. Or, you can just spend the day soaking in the heated pools.

Scattered around the pool deck are fireplaces where you can stay warm between dips, and enjoy some snacks or drinks from the spa kitchen and bar.

Set away from the hustle and bustle of the city this spa feels like a sanctuary of nature and relaxation. If you need some pampering, this is the spot to do it.
