It's been a snowy and cold month for much of B.C., and if you're hoping for a reprieve from the weather, you're out of luck. The March weather forecast for Southern B.C. is looking cold and wet with some snowy periods.

While the B.C. spring weather forecast calls for warmer-than-normal temperatures, we have to get through March 2025 first. According to the 2025 Old Farmer's Almanac long-range weather forecast, next month should bring below-average temperatures and above-average precipitation, so keep your rain boots ready.

The start of the month is set to have "snowy periods north, a few showers south" and overall be chilly. Mid-month should have a few showers and a "cool coast," but it should be relatively sunny and mild inland. The end of the month will keep the rainy trend going before the north gets a bit of sun and mild weather, and the south stays cold.

Old Farmer's Almanac says that Southern B.C. should get an average March temperature of 3°C, which is 1°C below average, and a precipitation of 140mm, which is 20mm above average.

Don't be too discouraged; spring will come, and although the rainy weather is supposed to stay around, at least the temperatures will warm up. April temperatures are expected to be 2°C above average, so at least you can shed some layers.
