Foodies may tend to flock to the bustling streets of Toronto, or to the hub of Vancouver, but this Alberta city pulled through as one of the most underrated spots in the country for good eats.

It may not have the Michelin guide hype as other Canadian cities, but it has a premium food scene — if you know where to go.

Narcity is always on the hunt to uncover hidden gems and beloved spots, so we polled our audience to find the most underrated foodie destinations in Canada.

Calgary made the cut, named by multiple people as a foodie destination. The city is home to top-tier restaurants that have taken home many awards, and some more secret spots that also help it earn this title.

One of the most well-known spots around is Major Tom, which has been named among Canada's best multiple times. It's got unreal views of the city thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows, cocktails that they're famous for, and a cool vibe that makes it a go-to spot.

Ten Foot Henry is another go-to with a family-style menu and great brunch.

You've also got a ton of cheap eats in Calgary though, so you don't have to have an pricey night out. Want a $6 slice that'll make your mouth water? Head to Cold Beer & Pizza at happy hour.

How about tasty dumplings for $9? Deng's Dumplings is there.

The list goes on but you get the point — Calgary is indeed a foodie city!
