BC's Most Breathtaking Suspension Bridge Opens For The Summer This Week
In the summer, some of B.C.'s most spectacular sights are overflowing with tourists. But in 2020, you can take advantage of few visitors and go explore your backyard. As of Friday, June 19, you can visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge and it could feel like you have the place to yourself almost!
It will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily with new safety measures. Stacy Chala, the Communication Manager of Capilano Suspension Bridge, said that they want to make your visit "the safest it can be. We are so excited to be re-opening the park and to be bridging you safely back to nature."
No matter how many times you visit this place, it is just as breathtaking. But in the past, it was always too busy to get those cool selfies you want to take.
All parts of the park will be open, including the cliff walk, treetop adventures and the 137-meter long suspension bridge that hangs 70-meters above the Capilano River.
Some of the changes you'll notice are stickers on the ground to help everyone stay two meters apart, and there will be ample hand sanitizer.
The suspension bridge will also be one-way, with the direction alternating throughout the day.
The free round-trip shuttle bus will start again and take you from downtown Vancouver to North Vancouver every 30-minutes. Inside there will be one row of seats between passengers as part of new physical distancing measures.
You will also need to buy your ticket on their website for a specific date and time. There will be a limited number of spaces available for each 30-minute time slot.
Now with the new physical distancing measures, you'll finally get the chance to get all those incredible photos.
So it is time to snatch up a ticket with your BFF and feel like you have this magical spot all to yourself.
