This small town in B.C. looks like the set of a Hallmark movie, with charming shops, quaint vibes and picturesque streets. It was just named among the best small towns near Vancouver, perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of city life and embracing a slower pace.

This isn't the first time that it has gained some attention, though. It was also ranked among the "most charming" small towns in Canada and the U.S. This storybook-like spot is Fort Langley, a little village nestled in the city of Langley — tucked away less than an hour outside of Vancouver.

Making the short drive away from the busy streets will transport you to somewhere far away. It's very Gilmore Girls — almost too quaint to believe it's real.

The online site, Betway ranked Langley as one of the cutest small towns in Canada and the U.S., and our Narcity audience named it as one of the best small towns near Vancouver.

It's easy to see why it garners all of this praise, with everything from cute cafes and idyllic parks to a beautiful community hall and surrounding farmland.

The historic village is the perfect place to spend an afternoon just roaming around. You can stop in at the local boutiques, restaurants, galleries and museums.

Wendel's Bookstore & Cafe is a must-visit to grab a drink and a new read — taking in the quaint vibes from the patio. Sabà Cafe is also a go-to here with great coffee and yummy treats.

The Fort Langley Village Farmers' Market happens on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and it's the perfect spot to see all the local offerings from vendors.

After roaming the streets of Fort Langley, you can explore the picturesque surrounding area. There's farms all around, adding to the wholesome atmosphere of this place.

Krause Berry Farms & Winery is right outside of town and a fun place to go on a sunny day to get some U-pick berries. Right now, you can get some fresh blueberries and blackberries from the farm.

Other farms around here have animals you can see, including alpacas at Kensington Prairie Farm.

Langley is also famous for its wine, so if you're in the mood to sip then you can tour around the beautiful vineyards here. Sit in the idyllic outdoor gazebo at Backyard Vineyards, take a tour at Chaberton Estate Winery & Bacchus Bistro, or go winery hopping and visit a few.

If you need a quick getaway with lots to do — head to Langley.
