After issues at the border with a new Vancouver Canucks player's tortoises, Tim Hortons delivered a care package that included custom donuts and hockey cards with animals on them.

Canadian Braden Holtby signed with the Canucks back in October but the move to Vancouver wasn't a smooth one because his pet tortoises were held up at the Canada-U.S. border.

Now that they've cleared customs and arrived in the city, Tims put them on a Long John donut and hockey cards to celebrate.

Brandi Holtby, the NHLer's wife, shared the special delivery on social media.

"Never in my wildest dreams did I think our two tortoises would end up on a Long John," she tweeted.

Along with the custom donuts and hockey cards, they got coffee, Timbits, mugs, coasters, a Tims cup ornament, hockey Barbies and a Wayne Gretzky travel mug.

One of the tortoises is named Maple which is just so fitting and the other one is Honey.

Other Canucks players have found themselves in interesting situations recently like taking a helicopter to a mountaintop ice rink and accidentally kicking their wife in the face during their wedding.
