This Waterfall Close To Vancouver Is So Secret Most Locals Haven’t Heard Of It

Falling in love with these falls. 💙

Hiking to a waterfall is way more exciting than a regular stroll around the park. But you might be tired of going to Cascade Falls on repeat. Well, we found somewhere new for you to visit. This waterfall hike near Vancouver will take you to a secret spot most locals don't know about.

Just one hour from downtown Vancouver, you can find yourself in Golden Ears Provincial Park. Here you can explore a lush forest trail to the cascading Gold Creek Falls.

The setting is stunning and will make you feel like you've magically arrived in a tropical rainforest. Bright green moss covers the ground and many of the trees too.

The journey here is perfect for beginners. The trek is straightforward so you won't get lost, and without any steep climbs.

Plus, the ample shade will help to keep you feeling cool in the summer.

From the parking lot, you'll follow Lower Falls Trail that will take you up a slight hill. In roughly 15 minutes, you'll be able to spot the blue water of Gold Creek.

Then all you need to do is follow the sound of the roaring waterfall. You'll undoubtedly want to stop at the clearing to enjoy the view of the Blanchard Mountains.

At Gold Creek Falls, you'll find rocks surrounding the crystal clear pool. It is a peaceful spot to relax and enjoy the view. You'll also want to see the upper lookout where you can get some fantastic photos.

Going at a leisurely pace, you should plan for the 5.5-kilometre path to take you two hours round trip. Honestly, you'll be surprised by how quick and easy it is.

If you want to extend your visit, you can book a campsite within the provincial park for super cheap too.

Time to lace up your sneakers and find this spot for yourself.
