This BC Hiking Trail Crosses A Jaw-Dropping Suspension Bridge To 2 Wild Beaches

Do you dare cross this bridge 100 feet off the ground? 😲

Imagine a place where you can adventure to see the most stunning coastal lookouts in the province. Instead of doing a full, multiday trek, you can skip all the work and go straight to one of the best parts. There's a magical B.C. hiking trail that crosses a suspension bridge and leads you down to two beaches.

On the southwest coast of Vancouver Island, you can find the famous Juan de Fuca Marine Trail. The challenging 47-kilometre trek takes multiple days to complete, but thankfully you can do a small section for a quick day trip.

One fantastic route is between Sombrio Beach to Chin Beach. You'll definitely want to savour all the sights on this wild nature path that takes about 2 hours one-way.

Not only will you get to walk along the water and through the rainforest, but you'll also get to enjoy crossing the incredible Loss Creek Suspension Bridge.

If you are afraid of heights, this might not be the journey for you. As the bridge is 100 feet long, and 100 feet off the ground.

But if you are brave enough, the raised path provides a fantastic lookout of Leech Fault. Meanwhile, if you look straight down, you'll see the rushing water of Loss Creek.

Another not to miss sight is hidden at Sombrio Beach. Here there is a magical waterfall that is hidden inside a cave.

Standing inside the mossy cave, you'll be surprised by the amount of rushing water at this top-secret local gem.

If you are a beginner hiker, add this route to your bucket list. As you might want to slowly work your way up to it.

It can be challenging as it travels over rugged terrain, so it is a good idea to have ample hiking experience before you depart. Also, make sure to check the trail's status.

If you're up for a Vancouver Island road trip, then you'll definitely want to put this place on your list.
