Lead Writer, Travel

Winter is here, and that means cozy hot chocolate dates, sledding down snowy slopes, and, of course, skating. If you're looking for a truly magical spot to lace up this season, you'll want to take a trip to this enchanting ice trail.

Located on top of a mountain, the trail takes you through a snow-covered forest lit with glittering lights. You'll feel like you're gliding through Narnia as you enjoy the frosty scenery and towering views.

Woodview Mountaintop Skating is perched at the top of The Blue Mountain, about 2 hours away from Toronto. The attraction features a 1.1-kilometre ice skating loop with stunning views of the Niagara Escarpment.

The icy pathway weaves through a magical winter woodland and majestic landscapes. During the evenings, the trail is lit with twinkling lights, adding even more enchantment to the adventure.

The experience is located right across from Blue Mountain's Off-Piste Pavilion where you can cozy up with food and drinks after your skate on weekends.

Woodview Mountaintop Skating is included with Blue Mountain's Play All Day pass, which gives you access to a variety of activities such as the mountain coaster and snow tubing. Rentals are available onsite.

The attraction is open daily on weekdays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends. It's a good idea to check the website before heading out, as weather can affect the hours.

Enjoy a magical winter wonderland with this skating experience.
