The financial assistance offered to Canadians during the pandemic just got a shoutout from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

In a December 4 tweet, the United States congresswoman highlighted how much money Canadians received each month from the CERB.

"Canada did $2,000/monthly," she wrote, "The US is the richest nation on earth and a 2nd stimulus check is getting blocked bc GOP want corporate bailouts & austerity in 'exchange' for it."

She ended the tweet with a pointed comment about the current Republican senate majority leader.

"Maybe if everyone in the US incorporated as an LLC, Mitch McConnell would actually do something for them."

Ocasio-Cortez recently talked about all of Canada's financial programs during the pandemic with NDP leader Jagmeet Singh.

They got together virtually to livestream a playthrough of the popular game, Among Us, during which they discussed political issues.

In fact, they spent so much time talking to each other, that they actually got kicked out due to inactivity.
