Walmart Canada Is Giving All Of Its Employees An Appreciation Bonus

It's like an early Christmas present! 🎄
Contributor

Employees who have been working at Walmart Canada throughout the pandemic are set to get a financial boost before the holiday.

In an email to Narcity, the company said that it would be providing all of its full-time employees with an additional $250 on December 11.

In addition, part-time workers will receive $150, with managers and coaches also getting a bonus.

$250 Appreciation bonus for full-time employees

Walmart Canada notes that this means more than 85,000 employees will be receiving some extra cash before Christmas.

Earlier in the year, the company paid its full-time and part-time employees a "March appreciation bonus" of $200 and $100, respectively.

Workers also received an extra $2 an hour during the months of April and May.

Loblaws and Sobeys introduced similar programs early in the pandemic, but both programs eventually came to an end.

However, Sobeys recently brought back increased pay for employees who were working in regions going through a lockdown.
