As soon as autumn rolls around, you may find yourself wanting to head outdoors, put those flannels on, and sit around a fire for a few hours. Whether you do this in your backyard or head to a state park to soak up the fall foliage views, your serotonin levels will be bursting. Taking a visit to this state park in Georgia and setting up camp for a few nights might just be the best way to welcome in the new season.

F.D. Roosevelt State Park in Pine Mountain is the largest state park in all of Georgia. Coming in at 9,049 acres, this place is ginormous and has plenty of things to do.

There are 40 miles of trails throughout the park, and some will even take you to luscious waterfalls, through hardwood forests, and to beautiful outcrops.

Another popular activity at this park is camping. There are 21 cottages you can rent out as well as 115 tent, trailer, RV, and 16 backcountry campsites where you can set up your spot.

For your average tent plots, you and five friends can enjoy a night, or a few, in the wilderness to really embrace the fall weather as it sweeps across the state.

During the day, you and your group can travel along a few loops of the famous Pine Mountain Trail. This trail is 23 miles long in total but has multiple smaller trails interconnected in it so you can pick a shorter trail for an easier adventure.

You can take the Overlook Loop that's only 3.4-miles for a great nature hike or you can trek along the Cascade Falls trail that'll take you to a beautiful little waterfall for a short 2.1-mile journey.

One of the best parts about visiting and camping at this park is the price. To enter just for the day, it's only $5 for parking.

As for camping, it's only $30 a night for some of the sites. If you and five friends split that price, that'll only be about $5 a person — Talk about a good deal and an affordable camp-cation

Each of the sites is equipped with a picnic table, a grill, and a fire ring, so you'll have everything you for a cozy stay among the leaves
