High Falls State Park In Georgia Has Affordable Camping And Glamping Yurt Options

Sometimes getting lost in nature and stepping back from reality is what the weekends are for. You can head to High Falls State Park in Georgia to have some tranquility and quietness away from the city. There are even affordable waterfront yurts you can rent for a night or two so you don't have to rough it out and camp on the cold hard ground.

High Falls State Park is just above Macon, Georgia, and is a popular spot for camping and hiking the forested trails. It's also home to the tallest cascading waterfall south of Atlanta according to Georgia State Parks, so you're in for some fantastic views when you visit here.

There are 106 tent, trailer, and RV sites if you want to rough it out or "glamp" in a nice RV, but there are also six yurts on the property if you're looking for a cozier stay.

Some of these yurts are on the lakefront, which means you'll be waking up to beautiful views and relaxing sounds near the water's edge. The "tent" is 20 feet in diameter and has 12-foot lattice wall supports that create a unique feel inside.

There's also a clear dome skylight, finished pine floor, electricity, an outside water spigot, heat, A/C, a ceiling fan, and lockable doors, according to the official website.

Outside you'll find a small deck, a picnic table, and a grill as well as a fire ring to sit around roasting hot dogs and s'mores as the sun goes down

The yurts sleep up to six people comfortably, but you'll have to bring your own linens and blankets.

During the day, you can hike High Falls' 4.5-miles of trails that each provide different sights and experiences.

If you want to see the massive waterfall, take the Falls Trail. It's a little over a mile and will take you right up to view High Falls.

While you can't swim in the pool below, you might feel a little mist brush your cheeks while you stand and marvel at their beauty on the observation deck.

The yurts are only $85 per night and if you split that up between the six people they can sleep, you'll only be paying around $14 a night each.

Not only can you camp in a super cute yurt for a unique and exciting experience, but you can also find some rest and relaxation while keeping costs affordable as you explore the natural beauty of High Falls.

B.C. is home to not one, but two, of the highest waterfalls in Canada! One of them is a bit tricky to get to though — you actually need a boat.

In general, B.C. is full of amazing natural wonders, so it's not surprising that these are both in the province.
