Why You Need To Go: This dreamy swimming spot is a mini summer paradise. The 2-acre limestone quarry is surrounded by towering cliffs that reach up to 40 feet high.

You can take a dip in the turquoise water and enjoy the small sandy beach. This area can get busy, so you'll have to book a time slot in advance.

You can also head to the nearby village of Elora for even more summer charm. With historic streets and cute local shops, it's a magical place to spend a sunny day.

Manitoulin Island

Why You Need To Go: Nothing says "summer" like an enchanting island adventure, and every Ontarian should see this destination at least once.

Manitoulin Island is the "largest freshwater island in the world" and can be reached by car or ferry. It features sandy beaches, gorgeous hikes, unique attractions and more.

Bridal Veil Falls is a scenic cascade on the island and you can actually swim beneath the falls. The Cup and Saucer Trail is another spot to check out and you can see panoramic views of the island below.
