The school's newspaper announced the class, which will be held online, will take a heavy focus on specifically Texas politics, which is obviously Beto's specialty.

Beto became a household name after he narrowly lost to Republican Senator Ted Cruz in the 2018 United States Senate elections.

After that, he made a run for the White House in 2019 but suspended his campaign in just a few months after failing to gain traction.

Since then, Beto has endorsed Democratic candidates Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for president and vice president.

In recent weeks, he has been using his platform on social media to encourage Texans to vote in the upcoming presidential election.

Early voting is underway in Texas and will go through October 30, with the general election being held Tuesday, November 3.
