The Best Bathroom In Canada Is Actually At An RV Park

Anyone need to go? 🚽
Contributor

Any time you find yourself in a new place, maybe a restaurant or a park, there's always that lingering question, "what does the restroom look like?" Sometimes they're beautiful, other times... Not so much. However, Canada's best bathroom is found in a place you might not expect.

Every year, Cintas Canada scours the country looking for the best place to do your business. They recently announced this year's grand prize winner.

While you might think that it would be located somewhere ritzy, like a fancy hotel or an upscale restaurant, you might actually be surprised to find out that it's in an RV park.

Where is Canada's Best bathroom?

If you really want to find the best bathroom in the country, you need to head out to the Westview RV Park in Wetaskiwin, Alberta.

According to a press release from Cintas Canada, Westview's bathroom received the most votes from the public, earning it the title of the best in the Great White North.

The prize bestowed for such an honour is a Cintas UltraClean restroom cleaning service and $2,500 in facility services.

The park itself is a family-owned campground. Their website says it is perfect for "the quick weekend away from the city" or "longer stays to explore central Alberta."

What makes it so special?

This is the kind of bathroom that you would never expect to find at a campground, and yet it's as clean and fancy as anything in a five-star hotel.

Cintas notes that the facilities went through a major renovation to make them as comfortable and welcoming as possible.

Some of the noticeable touches include a textured epoxy floor, which is good for eliminating slips and falls, as well as concrete countertops and a gray tile backsplash.

Guests at the park also have access to hot showers, which really just puts this restroom right over the top.

Where else are there great bathrooms?

Like any contest, there are a few runners-up for best bathroom in Canada.

In second place is Bicycle Thief in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This Italian restaurant's facilities are classed up with hanging lights and black countertops.

Another Alberta business, Hawthorn Dining Room in Calgary, took the third spot on the list. The restroom here stands out with its floral wallpaper and handmade soaps.

Yorkdale Mall in Toronto took fourth place, and anyone who has spent a day shopping there would probably agree that the bathrooms are pretty swanky.

Finally, Leña Restaurante (also in Toronto), rounds out the list. On top of serving up oysters and cocktails, the eatery also gives customers a classy spot to powder their nose.
