Ontario is home to 'Canada's Pumpkin Capital' and it's an autumn dream come true

Fall just isn't complete without pumpkins. From spiced lattes to steaming pies and glowing jack-o-lanterns, these orange gourds are part of fall traditions and tasty treats.

If you're looking for a pumpkin-filled adventure, you'll want to plan a trip to this Ontario spot. Dubbed "Canada's Pumpkin Capital," the destination boasts fields of gourds, cozy farm markets and fall festivals.

Norfolk County, Ontario is the place to be for autumn vibes. According to a press release, the area is known as "Canada's Pumpkin Capital" due to the large amount of pumpkins harvested there.

You can find pumpkins scattered about fields, decorating porches and spilling over from stalls and farm markets.

One of the autumn highlights of the region is the Waterford Pumpkinfest, taking place from October 18 to 20, 2024.

The event features fireworks, a midway, live music, a marketplace, parade, pumpkin displays and more.

If you're looking for more pumpkin-themed fun, you can head to Presleys Pumpkin Patch where you'll find games, a haunted barn and other autumn activities.

You can also head to Cider Keg Farm Market or Simcoe Farmers' Market for more harvest produce, baked goods and cozy beverages.

If you're looking for some pumpkin-inspired fun this fall, Norfolk County is worth a visit.
