Sandy beaches, warm-weather adventures, and Florida vibes await at this stunning vacation destination. Just a cheap flight from Toronto, it offers unique experiences and endless sunshine.

If you're looking for alternative getaways beyond the U.S. this spring, this vacation spot is a "destination dupe" for Orlando.

Skyscanner recommends a trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, for a sun-drenched escape reminiscent of Florida's atmosphere.

Nestled on the Pacific coast, Puerto Vallarta is known for its beautiful beaches, rich cultural heritage, and a wide variety of attractions.

"Families looking beyond theme parks are choosing Puerto Vallarta, where adventure comes in the form of beachfront resorts with kid-friendly pools, wildlife excursions, and jungle zip-lining," Skyscanner says.

"Instead of long lines at amusement parks, visitors can experience dolphin encounters, boat tours, and a vibrant local food scene."

According to Visit Puerto Vallarta, this destination boasts 360 days of sunshine a year, golden sand beaches and lush tropical jungles.

Some top attractions include the Malecon Boardwalk, featuring galleries, shops, and restaurants; The Romantic Zone, known for its charming streets and hidden gems; the beautiful Vallarta Botanical Gardens; and Marina Vallarta, which offers picturesque water views and dining options.

Puerto Vallarta is about a 5.5-hour direct flight from Toronto, and you can find some inexpensive round-trip tickets.

According to Skyscanner's website, flights for under $400 round trip are available this spring. Of course, prices may vary based on the airline, travel dates, and any additional fees or layovers that may apply.

With dreamy beaches and lush jungles, this vacation spot is worth keeping in mind for your spring vacay.
