When it comes to seeing cherry blossoms in Toronto, High Park is a popular choice. The area bursts into bloom with beautiful pink views, making it a dreamy spot to snap photos and enjoy a walk.

If you'd like to avoid the crowds, you might want to check out this "hidden gem" cherry blossom destination in Toronto instead.

Exhibition Place, located on the Lake Ontario shoreline, is a "hidden gem for cherry blossom viewing that Torontonians may not be aware of," according to a press release.

The area is home to several cherry blossom sites that look like a floral dreamland.

The cherry blossoms at Exhibition Place are located throughout the west side of the grounds, with the best spots for viewing at:

  • The Princess Margaret Fountain
  • The Queen Elizabeth Building
  • Bandshell Park (along the walkway south of the Toronto Event Centre)
  • Liberty Grand

Exhibition Place is offering free guided Cherry Blossom Photo Walks from April 26 to May 1. The hour-long sessions are designed for photographers of all skill levels and include lessons on framing, lighting, and visual storytelling. The walks can be reserved on the Exhibition Place website.

Cherry blossoms bloom for a short period each year, usually peaking in Toronto between late April and early May.

The timing depends on the weather, but at Exhibition Place, buds are already starting to show, and the trees are expected to fully bloom in the next couple of weeks. Once they've blossomed, these dreamy pink flowers typically last for about 7 to 10 days.

If you're craving cherry blossom views without the crowds, you might want to plan a trip to this hidden Toronto gem.
