Trump Is Still Claiming The US Election Is Rigged & Says He's On A 'Path To Victory'

He's been tweeting a lot, recently. 🇺🇸
Managing Editor, Canada

More than two weeks after Americans headed to the polls, Donald Trump is still claiming the 2020 U.S. election was “rigged.”

In a series of tweets on November 19, the incumbent president accused some regions of voter fraud, said the electoral process was rigged, and claimed to be “on a very clear and viable path to victory.”

His comments come over a week after Joe Biden was projected as the country’s new president, a result Trump is yet to accept.

On Thursday afternoon, he tweeted to say his lawyers were appearing on television to discuss "an open and shut case of voter fraud."

Several of Thursday's posts included a disclaimer from Twitter, warning that "This claim about election fraud is disputed."

It's a message that's appeared repeatedly in Trump's tweets recently, as social media sites attempt to control misinformation surrounding the U.S. election.

Despite victory speeches from president-elect Joe Biden and VP-elect Kamala Harris last week, Trump is yet to show any signs that he’s accepted defeat.

Earlier this week, "White House Karen" was trending on Twitter, as social media users trolled the incumbent president for refusing to concede the election.
