If you love shocking numbers, just take a little gander at the Alberta weather forecast in the dead of winter. \nEnvironment Canada has issued an extreme weather warning for parts of the province as of Friday, January 29. \nEditor's Choice: The Polar Vortex Is Sinking & Bringing 'The Coldest Air Of The Season' To Eastern Canada\n\n\n\n- 40 C\n\n\nWindchill values on Friday morning and Saturday night.\n\n\nThe weather warning stretches through the areas of Peace River, Fairview, High Prairie, and Manning. \n"Extremely cold wind chill values near -40 this morning will moderate today before returning overnight into Saturday," says Environment Canada. \nThis type of cold is very dangerous as "frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with wind chill."\nIn fact, according to the Farmer's Almanac, exposed skin can freeze in as little as five minutes at temperatures of - 40 C. \nEnvironment Canada is urging locals to cover up with warm layers. \nThey say your outer layer should be wind resistant.
